Families raising children with disabilities, especially mental disabilities, still often face social rejection and segregation. Therefore, we actively inform the community about the needs and opportunities of children and youth with autism and other mental disorders, which contributes to the development of tolerance and the building of an inclusive society. Before the war, members of our organization organized informational events every year on the central square of Kherson or in a mall dedicated to April 2 – International Autism Awareness Day, participated in city’s art events and charity fairs, participated in flash mobs and promotions on March 21 – International Day of people with Down Syndrome. And on April 2, 2022, a video clip about our organization “Autism. A Unique Universe” and about our life during the war were shown on the YouTube marathon, organized by the Japanese Autism Association.
